Application for Extension of Short-Term Residency:
In the sixty days before to its expiration, applications for an extension of the residence permit may be submitted to the Governors’ Offices; however, this should never be done beyond the expiration date.
Foreigners must use the e-residence system to apply for a residence permit in order to request an extension. Within five business days, the application must be mailed along with all necessary documentation to one of the relevant Provincial Immigration Administration Offices.
Required Documents:
- Resident Permit Application Form
- Copy of the passport or other travel document notarized
- A total of four biometric images
- Submitting the old residence permit paperwork
- Evidence of adequate and enduring financial resources for the period of the stay The applicant’s title deed to their home
- A letter of invitation or other documentation provided by the person or company to be contacted
Reliable Health Insurance (any one of the following is acceptable):
- Evidence that you have access to Turkish health care under the terms of your bilateral social security agreements
- Document of provision produced by the Social Security Institution
- Private health insurance, with the additional time frame
